Upcoming Webinar Series!
Join us for our next webinar series on “Activate Your Inner Advocate!”
Would you like to learn how to activate your inner advocate? Kansas needs your advocacy skills! Disability rights and services are one of the first things called into question when we experience changes locally or on a state/federal level. Over the years, throughout the Independent Living movement, we find that, if we are sitting still, we are losing ground! Therefore, the Kansas Disability Caucus is offering a FREE Webinar Series called: “Activate Your Inner Advocate!”
Webinars will be held on five consecutive weeks starting on June 4th and continuing through July 2nd:
• Wednesday, June 4, 2:30-4:00 pm
• Wednesday, June 11, 2:30-4:00 pm
• Wednesday, June 18, 2:30-4:00 pm
• Wednesday, June 25, 2:30-4:00 pm
• Wednesday, July 2, 2:30-4:00 pm
These webinars will focus on the different ways to advocate for issues that are important to you and the disability community, as well as how to engage legislators in this advocacy work. Topics will include “what’s your advocacy language?”, written communication, legislative testimony, face to face meetings, and using social media for advocacy.
We will be announcing speakers for each webinar soon, so stay tuned for those details!
Individuals can attend all webinars or just those of interest. To learn more about each webinar, view the webinar flyer below:
